2016 edition


The first edition of Uno Sguardo Raro took place during the Rare Disease Day, the Day of Rare Diseases 2016 and was organized thanks to the collaboration and support of UNIAMO FIMR onlus. The review was sponsored by Anac - National association of cinematographic authors and 100autori - association of film and television authorship and was held at the Sala Kodak area of  Cinema di Roma enjoying great success with the public and operators in the sector. This positive response has prompted Claudia Crisafio and Serena Bartezzati, together with other members of the artistic and cultural world and the world of rare diseases, to found This positive feedback led Claudia Crisafio, alongside other members from the artistic and cultural world and from the world of rare diseases, to establish the Cultural Association “Nove produzioni”, in order to keep on organizing and promoting the initiative.”, To continue organizing and promoting the initiative.

Among the artists who participated, Maurizio Rigatti with his “Stareassieme 2014”, a docufilm about the vacations of Tuberous Sclerosis patients, and with “L’amante di Sjorgen” in which he talks about the Sjorgen syndrome in order to make it more known; Paolo Calveri, who presented “Scylla or the myth of family Mediterranean fever” which tells the legend behind this pathology; Anna Rita Mellone and Sara Bevilacqua in “Danzando con Mr. Wilson” told through dance the importance of giving dignity to the condition of the sick people; Claudia Crisafio with “Io sono qui”, in which she, as the main character and screenwriter, gave voice to people suffering from Guillain Barré syndrome; Carlo Shalom Hintermann showed the trailer of “The dark side of the sun”, a docufilm about children who live with the xeroderma pigment, that forbids them to expose themselves to sunlight; finally, with the commercial “The rarest ones”, Roberto Saku Cinardi summarized in a few minutes the essence of the life of rare diseases patients.
